The AB Band perform 3 main styles of popular music, as a :

• Rock, pop and blues band
• Jazz Combo

And if you’d like to dance to formal ballroom or Latin Music, we form a

• Tea Dance Orchestra

The AB Band formed just before lockdown started in March 2020 and since then we have begun rehearsals together outdoors. We are an 8-10 piece band with members coming from as far afield as Northallerton, Darlington, Newcastle and Nottingham.

We are a party/function band, playing either sophisticated Jazz for background music, or lively, fun Rock/Pop/Blues for parties/wedding receptions. We also play as a Tea Dance Orchestra for traditional tea or afternoon dances as well as evening functions and fund-raisers.

If you would be interested in booking the band for a function, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or any member of the band for further information or to discuss your requirements.

From February 2023 onwards, our fee is £500 for the full band, whether that be afternoon or evening, tea-dance/concert/function/whatever! This includes all expenses.

We have a smaller group of four, 2 singers/guitars, bass and cajon, who can provide a lovely background sound, or lively dance numbers from the 50's onwards, or fee is £200.
